Profile
Water jet ejectors uses water as motive force, it use the kinetic energy of a motive water or liquid to entrain another liquid or gas, completely mix the two, and then discharge the mixture against a counter pressure and are used in large numbers throughout industry for pumping, mixing operations, production plants.
Water jet vacuum ejectors are simple and versatile devices that generate vacuum using high pressure water jet, by suction of gas or steam and discharging them at a pressure intermediate between motive and suction pressures.
Water jet vacuum ejectors sucks off gases and /or vapors with the aid of the kinetic energy gained from the motive water. At the same time the vapors – as far as physically possible – will be condensed.
Water jet vacuum ejectors have no moving parts: they consist of a head, a motive nozzle and a diffuser.
Water jet vacuum ejectors design is based on the theory of nozzle and diffuser areas and on a combination of theory and empirically determined coefficient for lengths and shape. The most efficient ejectors are obtained through experimentation of prototype and mechanical design.
The efficiency of steam turbines in a power plant directly correlates to the pressure of the steam that exits the turbine. Water jet vacuum ejectors installed at the condenser outlet efficiently remove noncondensable vapors and the associated water vapor from the turbine condenser and accordingly lowers the operating pressure of the condenser which increases the amount of heat available for conversion to mechanical power.
